Trump is signing executive orders to ban access to USA for people from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan & Yemen tomorrow. He is following through on his commitment to build a wall banning and deporting immigrants. The President and the Office continue to promote an agenda of hate and oppression. #NoBanNoWall #Not1More
We ask everyone to join in solidarity with the #VigilantLOVE Coalition and South Asians for Justice - Los Angeles for a solidarity & resistance vigil against Islamophobia, state violence, and xenophobia.
JACCC Access Information:
The vigil will take place outside in the JACCC plaza area, which is wheelchair accessible.
We are finding out about closeby gender neutral bathrooms and wheelchair accessibility. We will update tonight.
We strongly suggest folks take public transit. JACCC is walking distance from the Little Tokyo/ Arts District Station. There is street parking and paid parking lots nearby, so consider the multiple lots, not just Sho lot (Weller Court, Judge John Aiso Lot, UnionBank Lot, etc).
While we cannot guarantee the venue is scent-free as it is a public outdoor space, we encourage attendees to refrain from wearing or using scented fragrances, perfumes, lotions, hair gel, deodorant, etc, and if washing clothes to wear beforehand, not using fabric softener or fragranced dryer sheets. The best is to wash clothes with baking soda and scent free laundry detergent. You can read more here: eastbaymeditation.org/accessibility/scentfree.html.
We will have an arts and drawing activities for children in a children's play area.
