Pamela Brekke was in tears at a Lowe's in Orlando. She'd driven 30 miles from her home to find a generator in preparation for Hurricane Irma. She was next in line when the woman in front of her was handed the last one.
Her father relies on oxygen each night and he could die without it, she said. A customer saw her in distress and offered his generator to her.
"He came up to me and said, 'Wait a minute, this is yours,'" she told CNN. "I said, 'Wait a minute, you need it as much as I do.'"
The man insisted she take it, bringing her to tears. The two embraced in the store -- a moment of joy amid the panic.
