TLDR: ARE YOU HYPED ABOUT SUPPORTING WOMEN* IN TECH? IF SO, COME TO ATHENAHACKS!

A hackathon is a weekend-long gathering of curious minds to learn something new. Often times, attendees do this by picking up a project of their choosing to work on for the weekend. This is a great way to really dive into a topic you've been meaning to explore and you'll get to make new friends as you work in a team! Hackathons provide other ways to learn, too - you can attend workshops, listen to speakers, or network and meet with other students and representatives from companies!

We’re passionate about getting more women in tech and that’s why we created this event for all of the fabulous women of Southern California. We’ll provide you with all the basic hackathon necessities - food, swag, tech, friends, and more - but then we’ll go ABOVE that to make this your favorite hackathon because it’ll be all about YOU. Come to the University of Southern California on April 8-9th for a weekend of hacking, learning, building, fantastic workshops, speakers, and events.

*** We believe everyone should be involved in supporting women in tech! If you identify as male and are interested in helping out our cause, we'd love to have you join us as a mentor or volunteer! Mentor/volunteer applications also open January 29th.
