As the Gorsuch nomination proceeds, this man is taking credit: Mitch McConnell

Judge Garland's seat was stolen, and now Mitch is patting himself on the back for the theft:

As Judge Neil Gorsuch has made his way this month through the gauntlet required of a Supreme Court nominee, touring Capitol Hill and meeting with the lawmakers who will decide his fate, President Trump has boasted flamboyantly about his choice.

But on that late-January evening when Trump introduced Gorsuch to an approving audience at the White House, someone else in the elegant East Room was also beaming with pride: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

Technically this was Trump’s selection, but for many critics and fans, the vacancy will be remembered as the McConnell seat.
